Monuments of Estepona


Estepona is a town that has a wonderful and long coastline. It is in the southern part of Spain. This town is famous for its beaches. There are also other tourist attractions in this town. Here we are going to know about the various monuments that one can see when they visit the town of Estepona.

Glesia De Los Remedios

This is a very famous church. There is a big history behind this church. During the year 1400, the place, which is now a church, was a forest. It was a pine forest. People found a crucifix in this forest. This was when there was Muslim rule in the town. This was the first crucifix found, so they built this church in the place where they had located that crucifix. To make space for the building, they had to chop off many trees in that area. They built the building with the same wood from the trees that they had to fell to make space. Very close to this hermitage, they built a rest house. During the period from 1725 to 1766 this church was popularly known as the convent of Francisco.  But then the things and name changed after 1889.

Torre Del Reloj

Enrique the fourth built this church and one can now see the remains of the church. This church was a mosque during the Arabic period. When the Castellans conquered this place, there was conversion of the monument into a church. There was an addition of a dome during the fifteenth century. These days there are many concerts held in this tower.

Plaza de toros

The inauguration of this tower was in the year 1972. The design was by the architect by name Juan de Mora. He won a National Prize for his architectural skills. This tower is elliptical in shape. There are only two more buildings, which have this shape in the whole world location en espagne. This place holds musical concerts.

Ermita del  Calvario

This monument is not a very big one and is in the shape of a square. The outer part of the tower is very elegant and simple. This tower is of the parish culture and this is the only remain which is preserved from that culture. The tower was built somewhere around 1818. This was initially a place where patients who had contagious diseases lived separately away from the village. Only much later, it became a sacred place meant for prayer.

Altea Is a Beautiful Place


Located on the coastline of Costa Blanca, Altea is a beautiful place that has very less population. But the city gets crowded with tourist from different parts of the world as there are a number of sightseeing places.  Once it was a fishing village and now it’s still being maintained like the way before. It lies on the southern side of Calpe and is around 15km from Benidorm.

Take a Trip to Denia



Located along the Costa Blanca nearly 85kms towards the northern side of Alicante is the attractive Denia. The harbor of Denia is very prominent as it connects to the other important cities like Ibiza and lot more. The place is known for its tourist attractions and so earns through tourism. The city is prosperous as the fishing activities happen in leaps and bounds. 

One of the most important sightseeing spots is the Castle that had been constructed in the 12th century. Beaches of Valencia


Valencia is well known for its beaches. It has a long coastal line. The beaches here are mostly sandy. They are amazing, white sand beaches.

All the beaches in Valencia region have a lot of facilities like a room to change, sun beds for hire, restaurants and hotels. All this makes this place a great holiday spot.

This is a very fertile region, with many fields where they grow fruits like oranges, lemons etc.

There are a few golf courses here. The huge coastline makes it a wonderful city and it is truly the most fertile part of Spain.

Valencia Beach

This beach is in the city. It is easily accessible and one can reach it from the airport itself. This is because it is only eight kilometers away from the airport. Malvarrosa and Las Arenas Beaches

These beaches are twenty minutes away from the town. This is also a very popular beach and one can take a bus to reach this beach. Historical Background of Marbella Community


History has proved the existence of human life on the mountains of Sierra Blanca in Marbella thousands year ago before the birth of Christ and many residuals of human beings belonging to Paleolithic age and Neolithic age have been found along the sides of the mountain range in Marbella.

According to some recent historical fact findings it has been proved that Punic and Phoenician civilizations were present in Rio Real region during the 7th century before the Christ. Findings of Roman existence are also present in the form of various discoveries like the thermal baths, etc in the Old Town of Marbella Community.

Existence of Marbella is quoted in the historical literature belonging to Muslim rule during the middle ages. Marbella was developed as Walled City during the Arab rule over the city. Arabs constructed the castle in the city and then covered the whole city with walls with only three entrances to the city- from Malaga, from the Sea and from Ronda. This castle is still present in Marbella but the doors and moat of the castle does not exist today.

King Fernando the Catholic conquered Marbella in 1485 and this is evident by the existence of engravings located in the Choir area of the Cathedral of Toledo.

The infrastructure of Marbella city went through many changes during the 16th century as this city was being conquered by many nations. “Medina” which was once the centre during the Muslim rule is now replaced by the construction of Open Square and this square is linked with the sea through Calle Nueva Street.

History of Alicante - Spain

History of Alicante:

During the Moors rule over Alicante, this city saw some growth and development. However, during 1246, King Alfonso X occupied this city. After almost hundred years of getting the status of a city, Alicante got the status of becoming a natural coastline of Castilla Kingdom and it helped the Kingdom to increase the trade through shipments. This development of the maritime trade in the region helped a lot in the growth of Spain and Alicante. Very soon, Alicante became the 3rd largest dealing and trading city of Spain.
